- Areté Living, Tigard, Oregon, wins exemplary awards for DEIB Program. Areté Living, a senior living management and development organization, won two Prism Awards from WTWH Healthcare for their Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) program. Areté Living earned the Social Stewardship Award, recognizing companies that have made significant achievements in social responsibility initiatives related to community engagement. Areté Living also sponsors Gifted Wishes, supporting their work in granting final wishes of individuals in hospice care.
- BAYADA Receives Award for LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion: BAYADA Home Health Care, an international nonprofit home health care provider, earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s (HRCF) 2025 corporate equality index (CEI), which intends to signify a company’s leadership in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. BAYADA will join 765 other U.S. businesses that will receive the HRCF’s Equality 100 Award for excellence in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.
- Dr. Glenn Panzer was awarded the 2024 Doris A. Howell Award for Advancing Palliative Care, by the CSU Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care. The award includes a $25,000 gift in honor of Dr. Doris Howell, funded by The Shiley Foundation, Darlene Marcos Shiley, president. This year, on behalf of Panzer, the gift will benefit The Elizabeth Hospice's bereavement program [San Diego, CA].
- Heart of Marin Awards an inspiring reminder to honor community members making a difference, in Marin City, CA. The Heart of Marin Awards is an inspiring and heart-warming showcase of local people making a big difference in our community. ... The 2024 awards, presented by the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership, were no different and the luncheon brought a crowd of more than 500 together to celebrate worthwhile accomplishments – from volunteers to those who provide longstanding leadership to local nonprofits.

AAMN, in conjunction with the DAISY Foundation, bestows this award to an individual or team that goes above and beyond in caring for patients and families from underserved populations most impacted by health disparities.
